Pilot study and assessment
Where we are and where we want to be
All change needs to start from a thorough understanding of where we are now, and consensus on where we want to be. This foundation then determines the approach we use to bring about the change. Prové has long experience of working with pilot studies, assessments and operational analyses. We know that the customer is knowledgeable about their own organisation, which is why Prové’s approach always includes the client’s workforce. Our experience of operational development and change management enables us to ask the right questions, gather all the relevant information, and compile data that shows a clear picture of the current situation, and produces suggestions for change initiatives that are in line with the operation’s set goals and desired effects.

Prové’s proprietary effect analysis tool is a simple method focusing on the desired results of the change. Effect analysis creates a dialogue and a shared experience for everyone involved, and the ability to focus on the desired outcome generates positive energy. The result is an effect map, a visualisation for communicating regarding effects, and what needs to be done to achieve the desired outcome.

Communication and buy-in are fundamental to successful change management, so a stakeholder analysis is conducted early on in the process, and also lays the foundation for a communication plan. The stakeholder analysis results in a stakeholder map, a visualisation of who the stakeholders in the change are, along with their demands, expectations, wishes and needs.

A full insight into the company’s business environment builds a relation to and understanding of potential stakeholders. Seeing the company from a broader perspective and knowing about the market it operates on are crucial to understanding the basic conditions and expectations. Market analysis is about mapping and analysing factors outside of the organisation, as a foundation for strategic decisions.

Scenario planning is about describing and assessing different scenarios, in order to formulate various plans of action prior to reaching a decision. The method is based on creating scenario components, which can be seen as building blocks in scenario planning, and which are then given a certain value. Selected components then become input data for visualising different scenarios. The possible scenarios are evaluated, and the results form the basis for deciding on a solution.

A SWOT analysis clarifies a company’s internal and external efficiency, and thereby what needs to be developed to consolidate or improve its position on the market. A SWOT analysis visualises current internal and external factors in the company, and makes it possible to assess its resources and capacity in relation to the wider market.
