Pilot study into an online appointment booking system

The client wanted to make it possible for citizens to book healthcare appointments online. In connection with an upgrade of the patient administration system, the potential for hospital outpatient departments to make online appointment booking available via the Vårdguiden website was evaluated. A project management team from Prové managed the pilot study phase, which entailed identifying the needs and conditions for successful implementation of an online booking system.

The system had to meet the wishes and requirements of the various medical specialities, as well as technical and functional demands.
The study resulted in a report that formed the basis for a decision on regional implementation.
