New business model for a company in the packaging industry
The company initiated a development process in order to develop its commercial operations. A Prové consultant was change manager for the assignment, which began with an analysis of the operation to visualise needs and conditions for designing a future business model. Alongside the company’s employees, the current business model was visualised using the Business Model Canvas method, which clearly indicated customer needs and how the company delivered value to its customers.
The existing business model was evaluated partly by mapping customers’ needs, and partly by analysing factors in the wider market. Several development needs were identified, one result being a visualisation of the customer base, as well as a tactical cultivation plan and clarification of management, leadership and areas of responsibility.
