Group development in a municipal enterprise
A strategically important staff function needed to strengthen its leadership, improve the climate within the group, streamline its work approach, and raise its competence in order to better meet the organisation’s requirements on the function’s services.
A Prové consultant was the process leader for the group’s development. Workshops involving all of the function’s employees clarified the group’s remit and delivery requirements, and how it should work towards set goals and how it could be strengthened as a group.
Ground rules were also formulated for collaboration within the group, as well as what the overriding behaviours and attitudes should be. There were also individual coaching sessions in tandem with the group activities. The results were clearer leadership, better cooperation and higher delivery capacity within the function.
